Hand Carved Soap Stone Putting Goal Sculpture
Hand Carved Soap Stone Putting Goal Sculpture
1 of 1 putting goal made from a solid piece of Soap Stone. Also known as steatite, is a metamorphic rock composed primarily of talc, with varying amounts of chlorite, micas, amphiboles, and other minerals like carbonates, magnesium, and silicate.
Most soapstone deposits were formed from 300 to 400 million years ago, and they can be found throughout the world. Shaped and carved by Chicago artist and designer Brian "Brick" Cassidy.
This is the second of a series of 3 putting goals we commissioned Brick to produce based on a prompt to simply make sure there was a solid object with an opening roughly the size of a golf hole so the piece could be used to practice putting inside your home.
